Some people have asked about doing a social event on Friday night. Just like a "family-friendly" event on Saturday, that's beyond the scope of what the reunion committee is planning (and it's something else we can't carry the liability for).
However...the Iowa State Fair will be happening that weekend, and if someone wants to organize a meetup at the Fair (or a pub crawl...or house party...whatever), we'll be happy to share the details with everyone. It won't be an official part of the reunion, but it's not really that hard to tell people to meet at the Butter Cow at 6:00 on Friday night.
So, if you want a Friday night event, then let's hear about it in this thread.
