This would be a really good place to tell everyone else about how you're doing and what you're up to...feel free to brag about your kids/house/Ferrari if you want.

I have nothing to brag about and I'm fine with that.

I have nothing to brag about and I'm fine with that. You could ask some of us to go out for a drink with you and share in your sorrows. Some of us drink now, you know.

Who said anything about sorrows? But yeah, if you're in Indy, I'll take you to the pub. I'll even buy the first round. Although, if you're up for taking the road trip to Cincinnati, Hap's is, by far, the best Irish Pub in the midwest.

Sorrows? Who said anything about sorrows? My bad. You hadn't mentioned the drinking and meat-cleavering.

I usually don't. Scares people off.

Don't you think it's a sign that many (if not most) of us are still too young for these "adult" things like kids and stuff when we still think the meat-cleavering and drinking life is funny?

I'd say it might be a relatively good indicator for myself, to be sure. Though I must say, I never went in for the meat cleavering....

I'm engaged (without kids). We're currently planning the wedding for next summer.

I am a nomad. I finished school at Iowa, moved to Detroit for a few years. Motown was not for me... moved out west to Portland, OR for a while. Really liked Portland- heading back there some day. Currently living in Stuttgart, Germany. Have been working the auto industry since I finished college- mostly telematics/infotaiment devices, driver distraction research, etc. I don't think I am really old yet... I travel tons and still know how to thow back a beer or two and go clubbing all night... but then again, I did go to a concert the other night and after standing up for so long, my knees hurt. So maybe I am getting old...

Thanks a lot, Liz. Now I can't get "Du Hast" out of my head.
I may have to visit Germany sometime just to say I've sampled Euro-clubbing. Last time I really hit the clubs was in Vegas a few months ago, and I really couldn't tell whether I looked good or had simply hit the apex of geekdom. It's hard to get a gauge on style when you're living in Iowa.
