I am, indeed, living the simple life.
I've tossed away most of my furniture, kept a few essentials, got me a regular job that involves a meat cleaver, and spend my free time writing music, writing screenplays, and going to the pub with my friends.
It's not ambitious, no, but I enjoy it.

I currently work in the Records department of a medium sized law firm in downtown Seattle. I really dig the fact that I get to wear ties so often. I almost can't wait for fall, so I can get back into a nice tweed jacket again...

I am working at Wells Fargo Financial. Other than that, I am planning to start writing as well, nothing like French Spies Kiss Like Us though, not that I "wrote" that.

so I can get back into a nice tweed jacket again... +10! (For those of you missing this, Kern and I have a long-standing wager that at -- was it the 20th-year? -- one of the class reunions, he's going to be a college English professor. And all college English professors wear tweed (at least when you make a wager like this at the age of 18). The wager is still on, my man.

Mr. Gongol, I am a man of my word. I think that we said 10 year, but to be sporting, I think 20 would be more appropriate. The wager continues...

That said, I still like wearing tweed, regardless of the field I work in.

Well, if it's the 10-year, then I've already lost, since I don't think you're in a PhD program right now. And I'll definitely pay up. I can't remember anymore, and as we've already established via the Advanced Creative Writing debate, I can't remember anything from senior year.

I work for a regional planning affiliation in SE Iowa, in Ottumwa. We cover a 10 county region (5 for transportation planning). Right now I am working on Bike and Recreational Trails for the 5 county region and finishing up a Housing and Infrastructure Study for a town in our area. I am going to be starting to write a grant for another town, and then may be involved in a city code update for another.

I am in telematic development at Mercedes Car Group in Sindelfingen, Germany. I specify the human machine interface for some of the telematic devices. Working in Germany is an interesting experience so far- have been here for about 1.5 years now and really enjoy it! Yes, I get to drive really nice cars very fast on the Autobahn. Every job has to have its perks...

Yes, I get to drive really nice cars very fast on the Autobahn. Stop, stop! Now you're just rubbing it in! Dammit. I was all excited about them raising the speed limit around here to 70.

I am an Air Traffic Controller in North Carolina. It is awefully stressful at times, but ultimately a rewarding job. Don't be too scared to fly though. I am a tower controller and will probably not get the chance to give your airliner instructions.
